The Covid Baby Boom is real, ya’ll. Given that E V E R Y O N E has been couped up for the better part of a year, it came as no surprise when the baby announcements started rolling in. Currently, Eni has about five or six “We’re Expecting” e-nnouncements floating around in her inbox. Left unopened, E figures she can avoid any and all baby celebrations. She’s quiet enjoyed her year of no social commitments and intends to keep it that way- until she learns that a former co-worker is hosting a virtual baby shower. And, to Eni, if there’s anything worse than a baby shower, it’s a ZOOM baby shower. Sh*t, dodging social invites just got harder.

Failing to come up with an excuse not to attend, Eni begrudgingly accepts the Zoom invite and uses the virtual get together as a reason to debut the flowy, pink vintage frock she bought a few months ago, believing that she’d get to wear it sooner than later. I guess this is the sooner. Styling the dress with a thick, pearl adorned headband and rings on each finger, Eni bears a striking resemblance to Florence Welch, complete with milkmaid braids. Topping off the baby shower ‘fit, E digs out her favorite white ankle booties that haven’t seen the light of day in m o n t h s, looking entirely wayyyyyyyy too cool for just a Zoom hang.
