Going to step out of the narrative for a moment and break the 4th wall (not sure if addressing the reader is truly breaking the wall, but we digress). Upon laying eyes on this magnificent beauty, our jaws dropped and audible gasps were made. Several times. This sensational piece was found on our birthday and what a gift it was. The bright green hue. The evident 60s mojo vibe. But, the icing on the cake was the statement balloon gathered sleeves, which are a true work of art in their own right. It goes without saying that selling this fabulous garment will be bittersweet- happy to make the sale, but very sad to see this mod number go because this kind of treasure are few and far between.
The above the knee Tres Gay boxy dress features:
✶Puffy, structural lantern sleeves
✶Mock turtleneck collar and 20 1/2" back zipper
✶Front side bust darts on mediumweight crepe. Partially lined
For us, we'd channel good ole' Nancy Sinatra for style inspiration with some white booties, polished updo, and white eyeliner with a muted lip. Keep jewelry simple with a ring or two, but that's about it. The look is ALL about the dress and for good reason.
